A beautiful day in the neighborhood

Saturday was a great day!  We spent the whole day outside doing lawn work and enjoying the sunshine.  Jared de-thatched the lawn, worked with the sprinklers, mowed, weed-eated and all that goes with doing a yard.  The girls and I cleaned out the flower beds around the house (which is no small task!), prepped the soil and then planted seeds.  They were so helpful.  As we would pull weeds and fill up the bucket, Addie would load it into her "trailer" and drive it to the trash can to be emptied. 

She was so helpful and had a great time.  She even gave Kimber a few rides- until she hit a bump and Kimber busted her nose on the metal.  As my Dad would say "It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt."

 We even had a picnic.

And now I want to know why we had a great day outside on Saturday and this week (at least since Tuesday) we've been trapped inside because of the wind and cold.

When will it end?!
