Kimber Right Now // 10 Things

1.  She hates jeans.  She wears leggings everyday.
2.  She has a hard time falling asleep at night.  She will lay there for an hour or two before falling asleep.
3.  She is very competitive.  She hates to fall behind another student at school, whether it be in reading, earning beads or running laps.
4.  She LOVES to draw.  I finally gave her a sketch pad for her birthday so all of her drawings would be in one place.
5.  She loves to hear jokes as well as tell them.  She needs to do a little work on the joke telling ;)
6.  She is a great eater!  She will try anything new.  But, she doesn't like meat of any kind.
7.  She is very confident in herself.
8.  She hates getting her hair done.
9.  She has never missed a spelling word on any spelling test.
10.  She is an avid reader.  Her teacher asks that each student reads 400 minutes per month.  Kimber usually reads between 600-800.

Kimber Gets Baptized!

I am so proud of kids who want to get baptized.  It's just such a simple decision for them.  They don't need months to decide, they just want it because it's the right thing to do.  

Kimber, Lucy and I went to the temple to take some baptism pictures.  It's always so tender to watch my girls wear their white baptism dresses to the temple.  It will only happen twice in their life.

Is this girl just so sweet and beautiful?  

Lucy tagged along while we took pictures so we had to get one sister shot.  

When it comes to baptisms, I'm conflicted.  I know that the ordinance is the most important part but the fact that they are making the most important decision of their life should be celebrated!  I like it to be sweet and simple, but with a few nice touches.  The program is one way I do that.  

Uncle Jordan gave a great talk on baptism.  He talked about Alma baptizing in the Waters of Mormon and how special it was.  

We then witnessed Kimber's baptism.  It was so sweet.

Aunt Annie then gave a talk on the Holy Ghost.  She told a story about Little Grandma following the spirit.  It was so tender.  Since Kimber loves her Aunt Annie so much, it was especially tender.
