So long, farewell....I don't miss you!
My bedroom BEFORE:

AFTER:

This is the best part!
AFTER:
I love it! The carpet is called "That's just beachy" and let me tell you, it is! I seriously feel like I'm at the beach. It looks like sand, but feels better.Do I even need to point out the horrible curtains in every room? Now that we are past the red, I can focus on the curtains. Heather suggested that I go with red but I think I might be scarred for life!
Of course there there are lots of changes to still be made but the worst it over- the carpet and tile. Remember that? Anyway, the fireplace needs some help, the mirror has to go (although I don't know if it will, Jared has some crazy attachment to it. He says he likes to watch the cars on Main Street. The funny thing is when you are sitting on the couch you can't even see Main Street!) , new couches, a huge picture of Christ above the piano....it never ends. Basically, if you think something needs to be moved or changed or that something needs to be added- it probably will be!
The carpet is the original carpet from when the house was built. It was in extremely great shape. It was made of wool. Everybody always commented on how great it looked. The only problem- it was red! Anyway, when the installer came in he truly could not believe that we wanted to get rid of it. No joke, he asked if he could have it! He wanted to put it in his living room! I told him he was welcome to it. Well, after he started to pull it up he realized it had a burlap backing so it wouldn't be any good after pulling it up. I think that may have saved his marriage.
FYI, I will add pictures of the girls' room soon!

Weekend Happenings
Anyway, here are a few pictures from our weekend.
Addie reading books with Grandma Hatch.
Addie and Annie having "girl talk." I love how Addie is using her hands and Annie looks like she actually cares what Addie has to say.
What would a visit be with Annie without a mani-pedi session?
The results of the manicure.
We love Aunt Annie!
Since Brigham is in the last phase of his casts and gets to have a splint. Addie saw him take it off yesterday so he could go take a shower. Oh my gosh, she went ballistic! I seriously think she thought he was taking his arm off. The way she screamed and cried, all while burying her head in a pillow makes me think she will have a phobia of splints the rest of her life. In this picture she is telling Brigham "go to your room!"
Kimber playing with Grandpa Richardson
A little gymnastics with Annie
Kimbie with her favorite person, Aunt He-yee.
Jared and a few friends from High School.
L to R (not that many of you will even know these people!)
Alan N., Andy P. (the groom), Isaac P., Heather and Josh D. and Jared
