Lately...

It's time for a potpourri post. It's been a while and there too much to try and do a post for each subject. So here's what we've been up to lately.

Babysitting this little squirt:

Cutting hair for a little girl who took matters into her own hands. She only lopped off a good 10 inches. Not that much, right?

And no, I am not a trained professional. I did the best I could and on Friday my sister, who is a trained professional, came and made sure everything was as it should be.

Eating steak. My girls hate meat. Can't you tell?

Nothing makes Jared more proud than his "meat and potatoes" girls.

Playing in the snow with no snow clothes on and Dad's gloves.

Learning how to make pinwheels spin
We bought these pinwheels for Marlene's grave and will put them there this week. Since Valentines Day has come and gone it's time to bring in Spring with bright flowers and pinwheels. They'll get put to good use, that's for sure. The wind blows in a nasty way here.
Jumping on the bed

There's one person missing in these pictures. Me. Yes, I was really jumping from bed to bed with my girls. Thankfully Jared was at Bishopric meetings because I would NEVER let him see me act that way.

Playing Peek-a-Book with a dirty face

I don't understand why these pictures are sideways. I've done everything I can think to find them and they still come out like this! Sorry!

Waking up with some serious bed head
What is that face?

Making Valentines for Addie's friends
I found these little Valentines a few weeks ago and Addie was so "ex-i-g-ed" (as she would day) to make them. I let her cut all of the leaves and write her name for each kid. Somehow she managed to misspell her name on everyone Valentine but one. Who's Abbie?
I love Addie's face here!

Waking up the rest of the family with a little piano number.

Spying on the neighborsAnd last of all, working on this:

You may have seen it on my sidebar or you may have gotten an email about it. Either way, tell your friends and family who might be looking for new ideas.
(Am I the only one that takes at least three days to complete a post?)

Attention Yvette

Here are the results of the heart-attacking:

And now for all of you that are wondering what the heck is going on. Tomorrow would be Jared's parents 42nd anniversary. My father in law is going to the cemetary first thing in the morning so we thought we would add a little something.

Feeling Grateful

I read about a family's journey over the last 2 weeks tonight and just wanted it share it with everyone. Start here so you can read exactly what is going on. After that go here to read on.

I'm feeling grateful for the health of my family tonight, especially my girls.

Ironic after the day we've had. They say things happen in 3's. My Dad and Grandma went to the hospital together today and my sister has Impetigo.Check Spelling Thankfully my sister's condition is very treatable. My Dad has a 5 mm kidney stone and was happy to go home after he was doped up on Morphine. He's hilarious when he is on pain meds. We're still praying that my Grandma can get better and come home soon. Looong story short, a low white blood count would be 37, her's was 0.9 this afternoon. They also found a spot on her lungs that they are going to try and diagnose.

And yet, I am still thankful.

Unnecessary Necessities

Today we hit up JC Penny's just for the heck of it. I really hate that store but we were in Show Low anyway so decided to take a look. We didn't really need anything but when I found these things I just had to buy them. Thank goodness for birthday money!

These puppies: originally $100.00. I paid $16.84. This was great because I have been looking for brown boots for so long! My legs will be thanking me on Sunday!
These: originally $15.99. I paid $3.36. Addie is growing out of her size 8's but I have been putting off buying her new shoes since summer is so close. These should hold her over.
And these: originally $74.00. I paid $12.63. Just because I love my husband!
And last of all: originally $80.00. I paid $16.84. I love him a whole lot.
I also got a shirt that cost me $3.78, but when it was all said and done we saved $236.54! Sure, we didn't really save because we spent $57.78, but it was birthday money. You get to do whatever you want with that, right?
PS- I know that if you do the math the total doesn't add up to $57.78, but we had a $10 off coupon. Yay for coupons!
I'm going to say we made out like bandits!
