We've been telling Addie for a long time that she was going to Disneyland. Her big day finally came last week. On Wednesday we dropped Kimber off at my sister Heather's house and we headed off to California. I have to admit that I didn't even feel sad leaving her and about 4 hours into the drive I realized I made the right choice by leaving her. Every time I called Heather to check in on her she would tell me that Kimber didn't miss me. I was so happy to hear that she was having such a good time. We invited Jared's mom months ago but she wasn't sure she would be able to go because of her Chemotherapy. She took a HUGE leap of faith and bought a plane ticket Tuesday afternoon even though she wasn't feeling good. She flew to California on Wednesday evening and spent Thursday with us at Disneyland. She left the park at about 5:15 to head back to the airport. It was so wonderful to have her there. She handled it great!
Here are a few random pictures from our day- totally out of order.

Me: Excuse me, would you mind taking a picture for us?
Man: Oh, sure.
Man's wife: Oh, my husband is an excellent photographer.
Man: Well, I don't know about that.
Man's wife: Oh, yes you are. You are excellent.
At this point our confidence in this man is rising. I've explained how to use the camera, we take our place in front of the pumpkin, a crowd of people waiting for their turn starts to form, they are all watching us, the man has the camera to his eye and decides it's time to figure out exactly what kind of picture we want. I was getting really excited, he must be great!
Man: Do you want more of you or more of the pumpkin?
Me: Probably more of us.
And the result?

A whole lotta pumpkin and teeny tiny Hatches.
